In the 80s, bands such as Sepultura, Sarcófago, Sex Treash, Holocausto and others made the Belo Horizonte metal scene one of the most vicious scenes around the world. In 1990 Divine Death rises from the same underground stream. Soon the band would become one of the most ruthless old school Death Metal bands.
In 93 the band recorded the classic album "Human Incarnation Sclerosis".
